Throughout July there are free lunchtime concerts in the foyer of Stavanger Konserthus
in Bjergsted park. Many tastes and ages are
covered, with a concert every day except
Friday 27th.
Wednesdays are popular family concerts, and the other days vary widely, from Grieg and
Sibelius to a tribute to Barbara Streisand, with between 1 and 6 performers, including singers,
guitarists, clarinet players, trombone, drums and many others.
Each concert begins at 1300 and lasts for about an hour. The cafe is open from 1200 serving
lunch, and many people arrive between 1200 and 1230, to eat before the concert, and chat with
friends.
