Basic information

Color line is the biggest ferry operator in Norway, with 4 routes. Several routes were changed, added or closed in 2008.
The routes go to Hirtshals in northern Denmark, Kiel in Germany and Stromstad in Sweden.

Bergen - Stavanger - Hirtshals

This route was started in April 2005, but dropped in 2008.

Kristiansand - Hirtshals

This route is operated by Superspeed 1 - a new (2008) fast ferry taking a little over 3 hours, with 2 or 3 return trips each day.

Larvik - Hirtshals

This route is operated by Superspeed 2 - a new (2008) fast ferry taking a little under 4 hours, with 2 or 3 return trips each day.

Larvik - Fredrikshavn

Stopped in 2008

Sandefjord - Stromstad

This route to sweden takes 2.5 hours and is operated by M.S. Color Viking and M.S. Bohus

Oslo - Hirtshals

Stopped in 2008

Oslo - Kiel

This route is operated by the M.S. Color Fantasy and the Color Magic, with departures at 14.00, taking 19.5 hours
These new ships are built more like short-stay cruise ships than as ferries.
