Road system
The main road here is the
E18 from Kristiansand up to Oslo. RV 9 runs north through Evje
and Setesdal, RV 41 runs north-north-east inland into Telemark and
RV 42 runs coast to coast east-west inland, from Egersund to Arendal.

Railway
There is a line from Oslo
to Kristiansand, which then carries on to Stavanger.
