Svandalsfossen waterfall Sauda

Svandalsfossen waterfall is beside the RV 520 road just south of Sauda in northern Rogaland county, in the Ryfylke area of western Norway.
New parking, stairways and stepped paths have been made for 2007, making this an ideal stop along the way to get out, stretch your legs and admire nature.
This beautiful waterfall becomes really impressive at times of heavy rain or snow melt - it can cascade right onto the new road.

natural stone steps up If you drive to Sauda from the south then you pass this waterfall just a few minutes before you arrive in the town.
It is most definitely worth stopping for a while and exploring the waterfall - using the metal stairways and natural stone stepped paths up and down.
There are also great views across the fjord, and of the town itself at the end of the fjord.
Høllandsfossen waterfall is in Sauda itself, and Sauda Ferie can help you with many other things to do in the area.
