Viste Beach and coast walks

Viste Beach is a popular family beach for shallow bathing with diving platforms further out. There is a large grassy area with picnic tables, a football pitch and a volleyball net on the beach in summer. Excellent coastal walks.

wonderful unspoilt coastline

There are walking and cycling trails in both directions which enjoy beautiful coastal scenery and an abundance of summer flora.

The trail southwards runs 4km to Hafrsfjord Bridge, then on beyond to the rock carvings at Fluberget, Revheim

The trail goes westwards for 0.5 km past the diving platforms, another tiny beach and a small boat harbour. It is possible to continue on foot for another 3km beyond the end of the gravelled trail along the rocky coastline to Vistnes lighthouse.

Svarthola is a small cave and stone age site up on the road at the end of the gravelled trail.
