Mandal Skalldyrfestivalen - Seafood festival in Mandal

Mandal is Norway's most southern town, with more than its share of fun and sunshine, in Sørlandet. Each year in August the town has a Seafood Festival, with music, art, (very) late shopping, cookery demonstrations, games, prawn-peeling competitions, a fun-fair and lots of fish and seafood to try.
This is an end-of-summer-season party to get you through the winter!

flower fruit and vegetable market This event has been going since 1988 and is big - with about 40 000 visitors - not bad for a town of 15 000 inhabitants.
This is one weekend where you will NOT have a quiet time, so don't expect it.
