ONS Stavanger 2014 - Offshore Northern SeasONS
Stavanger- or Offshore Northern Seas - is held once every 2 years, in
Stavanger Norway. Note that this year it runs Monday - Thursday, not Tuesday - Friday. (A smaller event - ONS Norway - took place for the first time in 2013). |

There
are many exhibition halls - some stands are fascinating and well-presented
- some are like rows of nut-and-bolt salesmen - which they are, and this
is where they meet their customers. In addition to the exhibition itself, a show is held in town (concert by the harbour), lots of private parties on boats and around the harbour, and a fireworks display to round off the week. There is something for most people here - but it helps a lot to be part of the oil industry. A lot of big companies go to great lengths to get their message across here - to varying audiences and with varying success.
