Eastern Airlines already operates the largest network of routes out of Aberdeen, and this new route will be ideally suited to passengers from the UK visiting the Stavanger region on business or leisure, and passengers from Norway wanting to visit the Aberdeen area, or link in to the extensive UK flight network. It also helps to build up Stavanger as a hub airport in southern Norway. Eastern Airlines, which will operate the route using 50-seat Saab 2000 aircraft, recently won the European Regional Airline of the Year 2006/7 award. The Friday flights from Aberdeen (at 0700 or 1605) are ideal for a weekend break in the Stavanger area, returning on Monday (departing Stavanger at 0940 or 1845) |
