Arboret near Sandnes

Created about 30 years ago, following a forest fire, the arboretum is becoming more mature and interesting.  There are lots of paths - some flat, some steep terrain.  The area is mostly accessible with wheelchairs, but no bikes please.  For obvious reasons, barbecues are not welcome.

a good place for reflection The Arboret covers approx 130 acres of varied landscape including lawns and pools. It is a beautiful area for all to ramble, especially those with an interest in plants and trees.
There are endless possibilities to extend the walk with several kilometres of  paths in the Melshei area.
