HOVDEN - Upper Setesdal

Hovden is a ski destination around 5 hours drive from Stavanger, and around 3 hours from Kristiansand. It is a little over 3 hours from Haugesund. It is in Setesdalen, the main skiing valley of Aust Agder county.
There is limited hotel accommodation, but a good range of hyttes and apartments is available.
In the summer the Suleskar road is open between Setesdal in Aust Agder, and Sirdal in Vest Agder, with roads onward to Stavanger. This road is closed from around October to May.
