long sandy beach and towering skies This is a long sandy beach backed by dunes and a lake, with a river mouth at the north end of the beach.
Beside the road you can see the enormous blocks of a tank barrier from the second world war (known as Hitler's teeth) which today are an effective way of keeping cars off the dunes.
You can take the coast walk north to Kvassheim, or southwards are a coastal track and a cycle track further inland, taking you to Ogna beach and the town of sirevaag.
