Seaways ferries to Norway
DFDS
Seaways is a Danish group, with one of its routes stopping at Norwegian
ports. It took over the Bergen- Stavanger-Newcastle route in November
2006 but dropped it again in August 2008.

Basic information
DFDS Seaways operates a network
of ferry routes across northern Europe, including England to Holland,
Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
This route was discontinued
in August 2008. It will not resume until at least 2011.
Copenhagen
- Helsingborg - Oslo
The M.S. Crown of Scandinavia
and the M.S. Pearl of Scandinavia provide a daily service in each
direction on this route.
Gothenberg
- Kristiansand - Newcastle
This route was discontinued
in October 2006
Harwich
- Esbjerg (Denmark)
This route is now one
of the only ways to travel by ferry to Norway from the UK. It is then
necessary to drive to Hanstholm on the north coast of Denmark and
take another ferry to Kristiansand.
