Sorlandet - the South coast

This area is known as Sorlandet, with many gentle fjords and inlets each populated with hyttes and small or large towns. It is very popular for sailing or fishing holidays. Inland the mountains are never far away and there is much to explore. The "Capital" is Kristiansand, with its seventeenth century square block layout and ferry connections, including Denmark, Sweden and England
