Walking
around the lake clockwise starting at the cathedral, you pass several good
restaurants in magnificent renovated houses. At the end of the lake is a
memorial to Norwegian emigrants who helped build America and across the
road is the bus station and then the railway station. In extremely cold winter weather the lake freezes and folks take to the ice to skate and party!
