Stavanger Botanical gardens - Botanisk hage

Located close to part of the University on the south west side of (the hill) Ullandhaug, the botanical gardens are nice to visit at various times of the year.
You don't need to be a botanist - there are picnic tables, a barbeque pit and limited facilities for young children to play.
It is also very close to Sormarka and the path around Ullandhaug

Ullandhaug tower is less than 1 km away, and the walk around the tower that passes by the gardens takes an hour, plus there are many other trails in Sormarka woodland. The Iron age farm is also close by.
