area for beginners or families skiing with a pulk, especially to the west
of the road where there are prepared tracks. Relax and explore, or join
the serious ones racing around the loops.
Take the ski lift up for extended tours up on the plateau. Map reference: Rogaland Fylkeskart (scale 1:200 000): 3430 65240 By car: Drive south from Stavanger on E39, just south of Algard turn left onto RV45 for Sinnes and Sirdal. Turn left in Gilje towards Frafjord. Do not go through tunnel, but follow road 5km up to the ski area. Parking: Several parking places with fee for the main carpark at the downhill ski area. Distance from Stavanger: 65 km |
