Rauland in Telemark Norway

Rauland is a popular ski destination for both alpine and cross-country skiing in north-west Telemark.
Although it has many visitors from Oslo and the east coast (Drammen, Tønsberg, Sandefjord, Larvik, Porsgrunn and Skien) it is not such a long drive from the west coast cities: Haugesund is 245 km; Stavanger is 320 km (270 km in the summer, when the Suleskar road between Sirdal and Setesdal is open) so it is about the same distance as Hovden.

There is one hotel and several apartment developments and many hytter (cabins, cottages).
The resort is split between 3 ski centres and 7 parking areas. Below you will find links to details on each skisenter, plus an overview of the skiing at Rauland.
